Thank you for visiting our campaign website.
With your support, I hope to serve as Santa Cruz County’s next Superior Court judge. I understand the importance of having smart, independent, and ethical judges who make carefully considered decisions that will keep our community safe and promote justice.
The decisions of a Superior Court judge can have deep impacts - whether for just one individual or for the entire community. I strongly believe that everyone who appears in court deserves their cases to be decided by a well-prepared, thoughtful judge who understands the law and the consequences of his or her decision.
I have been dedicated to public service in the courts for most of my 23 years as an attorney. I have worked for the California Supreme Court and for the Sixth District Court of Appeal, where I analyze criminal trials, civil cases, juvenile dependency and delinquency cases, and family law cases. I regularly serve as a pro tem judge in Superior Court in both Santa Cruz County and Santa Clara County, handling hundreds of traffic court arraignments and dozens of traffic and small claims trials.
My legal experience also includes interning with the Legal Aid Society of Santa Cruz County and serving as the Legal Program Director at a domestic violence agency. I have been teaching at Monterey College of Law for 12 years. I spent nine years in private practice, litigating cases in courts throughout the state. In June 2016, California Women Lawyers rated me “Well Qualified” to be a Superior Court Judge.
With your support, I plan to contribute my years of experience, vision for justice, integrity, and deep commitment to Santa Cruz County by serving as a judge on the Superior Court.
